M.B. Kouri Insurance was founded to fill a void back in 1982 when our dad, Mike Kouri founded the company. Mike was a camping enthusiast, in fact he owned his own campground/ski resort for over 15 years. So it was a pretty easy transition to switch from running a campground to helping people who own campground or those who, like him, are passionate about camping.
Today, Mike’s son Dave runs the business with the same passion and philosophy that his father ingrained upon him. The customer always comes first and service should be personal, straight-forward and friendly.
Building a relationship and helping people just like you, is what makes this job so enriching. It’s also what sets us apart.
After owning a campground & ski resort for over 15 years, Mike Kouri saw a need for a different type of insurance company. One that would go the extra mile to help insure campgrounds and camping enthusiasts. He built M.B. Kouri to embody all the qualities that he lived his life emulating; an insurance company that is transparent and trust-worthy and one that is as passionate about camping as their clients.
Mike always put customers first by really getting to know and understand their unique needs. Every year Mike would make sure to go across Ontario to visit all of the campgrounds to not only ensure their policy covered them for everything but to build the relationship.
Mike could spend hours talking to campground owners about not only business but stories. Mike’s adventurous spirit and generosity was the backbone that M.B. Kouri was built on and how we continue to operate. Today, Dave, Mike’s son, runs the business with Mike’s philosophy well engrained. Working with his father for almost 30 years, Dave continues Mike’s legacy by ensuring that our customers always come first. Mike wouldn’t have it any other way.
